All people in the Stone Age had to live somewhere. A few may have lived in caves, but most lived in tents, following the herds of horses and reindeer that they hunted for food.
But after the last ice sheets melted away and the population increased, there were soon not enough animals to hunt and our Neolithic ancestors had to settle down – which is when they began to make houses.
