Q: What is different between 1990s Internet use and use today?

The Internet was the other major development of technology in the 1990s. But it was not like it is today. Broadband was not available in the 1990s and people used slow 56K modems. As a result, most Internet use was for sending e-mails or small pictures. Nevertheless, it gave instant contact and so the number of letters posted fell dramatically.

In fact, it was during the 1990s that business people all started having e-mail addresses. As computers got cheaper, e-mail spread into homes, too.
