Q1: What causes rain?

[Answer]

Water is everywhere. It's part of us, part of the air, and part of oceans and rivers. So where does water come from to get into the air to fall as rain?

The answer is that just as much water gets into the air as falls as rain. It is part of a never-ending cycle called the water cycle.

Water in the oceans changes into vapour and is carried up high into the sky. Here it cools and changes back into liquid water, which falls as rain.
