* We take a lot of trouble moving our water about. We separate out clear, drinking water, from waste water (rainwater and sewage).
* We mainly get our water from rivers, so the distance we have to move the water is as small as possible. Sometimes, however, we need to carry water in big pipes, often from reservoirs a long way away.
* The cost of moving water about is often too much for poor countries and so they may not get the clean water they need and without drains diseases are more common.
