To see this, watch a regional program of news on TV with the sound turned off. You will then see that the pictures are often remarkably dull. It is actually the sound that brings it to life.

In fact, having dull pictures can sometimes be useful, for it forces the brain to pay more attention to what is being said. You can make a video of still pictures in the same way. If you have lots to say, don't make the visual change too quickly.
