The tropical rainforests have some of the world's strangest plants.
The world's largest flower is produced on a plant with almost no body. It is called Rafflesia. It is a parasite and grows on vines. It is also the world's foulest-smelling flower. The foul smell attracts carrion (animals that eat dead flesh) which then carry its seeds on their feet.
The Earth Star is a giant 'flower' that turns out not to be a flower at all, but a giant kind of mushroom.
