When materials have been recycled they cannot usually be made into new versions, because there might be printing ink, paper labels and other impurities in the plastic.

Instead, new uses are found the plastic where the quality is not so important. A strong coloring also helps to cover up any impurities.

Traffic cones, garden chairs and plant pots are just some of many examples.
