Q1: What is the main coastal feature on a headland?

[Answer]

A headland is a part of the coast that juts out to sea. It is always made of the hardest rock along the coast. This is why it has been able to stand up to the battering of the waves more successfully than the rocks in the bays nearby.

Headlands always contain cliffs. Because headlands run out to sea they can be attacked by waves on both sides, but even so they wear away more slowly than the soft rocks in the bays.
