Festivals and celebrations are a very important part of Hinduism. There are festivals dedicated to many of the gods and goddesses. In addition to these, there are festivals which celebrate traditional events like the harvest, the coming of spring and the New Year. Each festival
is a joyous celebration of life. Most are celebrated with worship in the mandir, parades, open-air festivals, special foods and music.
