Videos: essential to engage the widest possible audience
You will know as well as I do how TV, films and other video sources can capture the imagination of a far wider audience than books.
It is harder to give the detail in a video than a book, so the two things are complementary.
Videos provide the emotion and inspiration
for reluctant learners as well as providing the perspective that many students need if they are fully to understand the topic.
That is why videos figure so strongly in what we do. Nearly all videos are taken by us specifically for the purpose of their place in a book. That means the video is directly supportive of the text. And they are not throw-away clips as you might find elsewhere. They are substantial productions that have been carefully thought through for curriculum-essential content.
We have a selection of over 2,000 videos, and that list grows all the time.
Video is one of the major strengths of Curriculum Visions. No-one else does anything like them for embedded support.
