Warm-blooded animal

What is a warm-blooded animal? A warm-blooded animal has a body temperature which does not change with the temperature of its surroundings.

A marmot is a warm-blooded animal.

Animals that are warm-blooded do not need to warm up in the sun and can be active at any season. However, being warm-blooded means that an animal has to use up a lot more energy than one that is cold-blooded and as a result warm-blooded creatures eat more food, and need to eat it more often.
