Street

What ia s street? A street is a route over land which has been improved so that it is easier for people and vehicles to travel from one place to another (more or less the same as road).

Most streets refer to places in towns and cities. This is Delhi, India.

Streets are highways connecting places. We use both the words road and street for highways, although most streets are short and in towns and cities, and many roads are names of highways that connect places. But there is no hard and fast rule. Avenues are often wide, tree-lined streets.
