Stewardship

What is stewardship? Stewardship is working to make sure that the environment is cared for in the long term.

Sign to protect the lake.

A steward is someone who looks after the needs of someone else. A kind of servant. Stewardship is used by people when talking about the environment to mean that we - people - should be stewards of the world, looking after all of the natural things that exist, and making sure that our ways do not do too much damage to them.
