Who is Sherlock Holmes? Sherlock Holmes is a famous detective character created by the author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Sherlock Holmes is a famous fictional detective. Created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, in December 1893, Sherlock Holmes is known for his skill at solving hard cases. He has a companion who helps solve the cases, called Dr John Watson. There have been many novels featuring him, and in recent years adaptations for radio, TV, and the big screen.
