Passenger train

What is a passenger train? A passenger train is a train that carries passengers.

An intercity train in Russia.
A commuter train in India.

There are several types of passenger trains. Most passenger trains are commuter trains, carrying people to and from work in cities. These trains do not travel very quickly and do not have to be streamlined. They stop and start at all stations. They are usually the most overcrowded of all trains.

The other passenger trains are long-distance trains. They include all the very fast intercity trains that are streamlined like the one shown above.
