Hermes

Who was Hermes? Hermes was the messenger from the gods.

Hermes was the god of travel and trade as well as the messenger of the gods.

Hermes had winged sandals and a winged hat, and bore a golden magic wand, entwined with snakes and surmounted by wings.

Symbols that tell you that a sculpture is of Hermes are a staff with two snakes wrapped around it, and winged boots.
