Gladiator, Roman

What was a gladiator? A gladiator was ane of the fighting contestants used to entertain crowds in the times of Ancient Rome.

Gladiators were slaves in the Roman empire who were so good at fighting they were trained to fight in contests in front of large audiences.

There were many kinds of gladiator, each with a different name depending on what kind of equipment they used (sword, net, dagger etc).
