What is Europe? Europe is the smallest of the continents. It has 45 countries.

Europe is one of the main continents. It is attached to the western side of Asia.

It is not easy to say where the boundary between Europe and Asia comes, as there are no ranges of mountains that separate the two. The boundary is largely a result of history.
