Epistle

What are epistles? Epistles are letters written by the apostles to explain the new Christian truth.

An epistle is from the Greek word meaning letter. But it is more narrow than that. It is usually a letter sent to a group of people. The letters in the New Testament from Apostles to Christians are epistles. They are one way of telling people about the 'Good News' as well as answering their concerns and telling them what to do next.
