Cold

What does cold mean? Cold is a way of describing a low temperature, for example something lower than we would find comfortable.

Children wrapped up in hats and scarves to try to protect themselves from the cold.

There is no exact number to describe cold. Cold is something uncomfortable that might make us shiver. So, for example, in summer, if the temperature fell radpidly, we would say that it is cold today. But 'cold' in summer would be a much higher temperature than cold in winter.
