What is a chameleon? A chameleon is a lizard which is noted for its way of changing colour.

A chameleon is a kind of lizard that is noted for its protruding eyes that can swivel in all directions, and for its skin, which can change colour to help camouflage it. Chameleons also have coiled-up tongues which they can uncurl to catch insects on the sticky tip. They then curl the tongue back up again, with the insect wrapped up in it.
