Caractacus (Celt)

Who were the caractacus? The caractacus were one of the leaders of the British who tried to defend themselves against the invasion by the Roman Army.

Caractacus and the Celtic warriors defending Britain against the invading Roman infantry.

The British fighters were brave and, when the Romans invaded on the east coast of England, they fought back.

Caractacus led an army made up of many tribes, but they were no match for the Romans and so eventually all Caractacus could do was to stage hit and run raids.

When Caractacus was finally captured, however, the Romans thought of him as a hero because they honoured brave soldiers.
