Black Hole

What is a black hole? A black hole is a part of the Universe in which gravity is so strong that even light cannot escape from it.

How a Black Hole may look in space.

A Black Hole is a part of the Universe where something very strange is happening. No one really knows what it is, but scientists imagine it as a giant kind of plug-hole which things in the nearby Universe get sucked in to and then disappear. No one knows where they go.

The thing that is pulling them in is gravity. The gravity is so strong that not even light can escape, which is why they are black and why people know so little about them.
