Who was Athena? Athena is the patron goddess of Athena and the goddess of war.

Athena was the goddess of wisdom, strategy, the arts, industry, justice, skill, war, the city of Athens, handicrafts and agriculture.

She was fierce and brave in battle, but only fought to protect the state from outside enemies.

Symbols that tell you that a sculpture is of Athena are a goatskin shield, an owl, an olive and a tree.
