Angel

What is an angel? An angel is a supernatural spirit in human form. Angels are often shown with wings, just as the Holy Spirit is shown as a dove with wings.

The Angel of the North, a sculpture by artist Antony Gormley, in Gateshead, England. It is 20m tall, and has wings that are 54m across.

Angels are messengers. Most famous of the angels is Gabriel, who was the angel that brought a message from God to Mary to tell her she was to bear Jesus. They were also present at the nativity and so are connected with Christmas.
